Dear Parents & Students,

Well, another summer has flown by and we are now ready to start another school year. This is such an exciting time for our school. As I am sure you have heard that Three Rivers Elementary received an Exemplary rating from the Texas Education Agency. We worked very hard and are extremely proud of this accomplishment. I have no doubt that we can achieve Exemplary status again this school year with determination from the students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

Math books were up for adoption this year and we chose Harcourt School Publishers, Texas HSP Math as our text.  These books are correlated to the Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills that are required by the state and are tested through the TAKS. It is always nice to have new books, but is absolutely necessary that the students keep their books covered at all times, as we will not have another adoption for ten years or so.

I will be passing out Scholastic Book Club order forms next week. If you choose to order books, you may send cash or a check with your child. Please make the check payable to: Scholastic Book Club, not to Three Rivers Elementary. It is also possible to place your Scholastic Book Club orders online.
